A Birmingham native, Bob earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University before entering law school at the University of Virginia.
After completing a clerkship for Judge Thomas Gibbs Gee at the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Bob launched his litigation career at Johnston, Barton, Proctor and Powell in Birmingham. He gained 16 years of litigation and trial experience before receiving his judicial appointment in 2002.
